Johnny Depp was all over iPOP this week, touting his anticipated turn in “The Rum Diary,” Bruce Robinson’s adaptation of the early Hunter S. Thompson novel that hits theaters this Friday.
First we caught up with him in Texas at the Austin Film Festival where he was on hand to screen the film and receive the festival’s inaugural Extraordinary Contribution to Film Acting Award. A few days later, he landed in Manhattan to attend the NYC premiere and jam alongside close friend Keith Richards at the raucous afterparty hosted by none other than Playboy.
Other stars popped up on iPOP this week as well, including young Oscar-nominee Abigail Breslin at the “Janie Jones” NYC premiere, James Franco in Austin to debut his film “Sal” and Madonna in London screening “W.E.” at the city’s film festival.
