1. Indiegogo: Indiegogo has released a free online handbook for filmmakers that provides tips and guidelines for crowdfunding your next project. Funding is always the root of every filmmaker’s problem, but fear not, Indiegogo has you covered. Fresh off a $40 million cash injection, the website is looking for ways to help alleviate the ever-present migraine that filmmakers are subject to, starting with a guidebook. Check out the full story here.

2. HBO And Amazon Unite: HBO and Amazon have come to an agreement over the streaming of HBO shows such as “The Sopranos,” “The Wire,” “Six Feet Under” and many more. The deal was born out of the fact that Amazon Prime has less overlapping customers with HBO than Netflix, the other streaming juggernaut. Amazon can count this as a victory on a day that saw their shares rise 1.4% and Netflix’s shares fall 2.7%. 3. AT&T Venture: AT&T and The Chernin Group are coming together to invest $500 million in a joint venture that will acquire, invest in, and launch over-the-top video services. The goal is to invest in ad-supported and subscription based VOD channels, as well as streaming services. 4. Netflix: Netflix has announced its first Spanish-language original series, which will be a soccer comedy from director Gaz Alazraki, reuniting the creative team that made the Mexican box-office hit “We Are The Nobles.” The 13-episode season will premiere in 2015 under the Alazraki Entertainment banner and centers on a family feud among the heirs of a soccer club after the owner’s death. Scheduled to shoot in Mexico with a Latin American cast, the show is the next logical step for Netflix, which has been making a push for more Latin American customers recently.

5. “Approach The Bench:” Bob Balaban (‘Grand Budapest Hotel’ ‘Monuments Men’) is starring in a new web series called “Approach The Bench,” created by Zhubin Parang, a former “The Daily Show” writer. The series focuses on a judge (Balaban) and his eccentric and colorful court room. The series premiere revolves around two lawyers (Parang and Ben Rameaka) who try to figure out whether Danny Aiello is in the jury box or not. “Approach The Bench” will have a 3 episode season, with new episodes premiering on Above Average every Wednesday starting 4/23.
