To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, DIRECTV’s Spanish-language streaming service Yaveo is throwing its first-ever virtual film festival. The purpose of the event is to educate, entertain and recognize the work of Latin American, Spanish and U.S. Latino filmmakers which would otherwise not be seen here in the U.S. The virtual film festival will run on the Yaveo streaming service from September 21 – October 18.
Yaveo is extending its normal first week free offer to two weeks free as part of this celebration. Award-winning and critically acclaimed films from Latin America, Europe and the U.S. will be streamed, as well as 9 new films from this year’s Cine+Mas festival, which runs September 18-27, and three films from previous festivals. Viva PIctures LLC. helped acquire the films. For more information and to sign up for the streaming service, visit Yaveo’s website.
