Stephen Colbert Confronts Undecided Voters — Like Rob Lowe — on ‘Late Show’

Even with a gun to his head, don't count on this voter choosing.

Last night, while addressing the presidential debate between Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump, “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert noted that this was an opportunity for the candidates to acquire the coveted undecided voter, a number of whom could decide the trajectory of the election.

“If after all this time the entire election is going to be decided by these few undecided voters, I wanted to talk to one myself,” said the deadpan Colbert as he introduced “Charles Hansen,” an undecided voter of Columbus, Ohio who also perhaps resembled a dubious, but lovable, Rob Lowe.

The sketch flows back and forth between Hansen and Colbert, while Hansen wears a “Make America Great Again” hat and an “I’m with Her Hilary 2016″ shirt. “It is good to be here…or not, I’m still figuring it out,” Hansen says as he’s introduced. As Colbert questions him, Hansen beams and flip-flops between candidates with joyful abandon. “I really liked when he said he wanted to bring back ‘Law and Order’ — I really liked Mariska Hargitay,” Hansen said.

As the pressure mounts and Colbert insists that the undecided voter solidifies his position, Hansen blinks and starts answering with a Magic 8 Ball. “Outlook…not so good,” Hansen says, once again failing to make a decision.
