Sarah Silverman Is 'Zero-Time Academy Award Nominee' Her 'Under Oath' Spoof Trailer

Sarah Silverman is putting comedy in the back seat and trying her hand at drama once again. The actress and comedian appeared on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” on Thursday to premiere the spoof trailer for her prestigious new film “Under Oath.”

Starring an Academy Award-winning cast which includes Sean Penn, Tilda Swinton, Forest Whitaker and Judi Dench, the narrator starts off by questioning why Silverman is part of this star-studded group, which also includes Academy Award nominee Edward Norton, Laura Dern, and Glenn Close.

“And zero time Academy Award-winner or nominee Sarah Silverman,” the voiceover says. “Critics are calling ‘Under Oath’ mesmerizing, thought provoking, deeply resonant with captivating performances from some of Hollywood’s most acclaimed actors…and Sarah Silverman is in it.”

“Come on man!,” yells the actress in the video. “I had a really good audition and I earned that part,” she says as she continues to get frustrated with the narrator overlooking her talent. During the comedic trailer, it also shows quotes from The Hollywood Reporter saying, “Silverman must have been pretty nervous being on set with all those legendary actors” and the AV Club writing, “Every person in this movie is an Award winner except for one.”

At one point Silverman can’t take it anymore and yells that she has two Emmys, but the video continues naming a list of awards that she hasn’t received including the Mexican Medal of Military Merit Award, which supposedly Cate Blanchett has. Watch the epic trailer above.
