The winning filmmaker will become a candidate for September Project of the Month. That winner will be in the running for Project of the Year.
The four projects up for this week’s Project of the Week are listed below (with descriptions courtesy of the filmmakers). You can vote at the bottom of the page.
Slow Burn: A feature-length documentary about the shifting urban landscape of Austin, Texas through the lens of one of its oldest institutions: barbecue.
Nobody Walks in LA: The story of two old friends who, faced with decisions that cannot wait, put their lives on pause for a day and do the unthinkable…walk around Los Angeles.
Moonshot: A world-weary homeless woman is given an opportunity to leave her violent life behind when a cocksure mechanic devises a risky plan to send her to a colony on the Moon.
The Ability Exchange: A documentary about an innovative Disability Studies course where engineering students and adults with cerebral palsy learn to communicate, connect and cultivate their abilities by making movies.
