The Little Rock Film Festival Set to End After 9-Year Run

In a piece of sad news for film fans, the Little Rock Film Festival has just announced that it will end its run after 9 years. The festival aimed to showcase both the state of Arkansas and its burgeoning filmmaking community.
In a statement, the festival runners said, “We are proud of the Arkansas filmmaking community that we have helped to inspire and promote, and pleased to have brought hundreds of the top independent filmmakers from around the world to central Arkansas each year to share their work directly with audiences.”
The final edition of the Little Rock Film Festival took place in May and included a Made in Arkansas competition, as well as features such as SXSW Grand Jury Award winner “Krisha,” the Jason Schwartzman vehicle “7 Chinese Brothers” and “White God,” which won the Un Certain Regard prize at Cannes.
