Over the past 16 years, The Animated Show of Shows has screened countless new and inventive short films exclusively for animation studios, societies and festivals. This year, creator and curator Ron Diamond is proud to announce that the showcase will be screened in theaters nationwide in an effort to expose the general public to the work of some of the world’s most innovative and exciting animators.

The new poster and trailer for this year’s “Animation Show of Shows” ensure the selection offers an eclectic mix of humor, heart and humanity, as well as an impressive range of animated styles and techniques. The joyful poster features an image of two cosmonauts from Konstantin Bronzit’s “We Can’t Live Without Cosmos.” The trailer then invites us to discover the rest of these hidden gems, taking us on a delightful journey into the wild worlds each crafted by world-class animators.

“It has been a personal goal of mine to bring these amazing films to a larger audience and in theaters,”  said Diamond. “From LGBT themes to environmental tales to personal stories, this Show of Shows offers something for everyone.”
This year’s program boasts 11 animated shorts, many of which have already received wide acclaim at major film festivals. Concluding the program is Academy Award nominated animator Don Hertzfeldt’s latest short, World of Tomorrow,” which won the Grand Jury Prize for Short Film at its Sundance premiere earlier this year.
