This week was a busy one on iPOP. From festival events to glitzy premieres, the film world’s party scene was in full swing and showed no signs of slowing down despite the dog days of summer.

Among the highlights: NewFest, New York’s premiere LGBT film festival, wrapped on Thursday with their closing night film “Gun Hill Road;” Rachel Weisz was seen getting cozy with her new hubby Daniel Craig at a special screening of her drama “The Whistleblower;” Alex Gibney caught up with Julie Taymor at the premiere of his latest documentary “Magic Trip;” “Life in a Day,” the YouTube documentary from director Kevin MacDonald played at MoMA; and much more.
