In Paris, where marches are currently prohibited due to security concerns, two artists have collaborated to give hundreds of people a public voice in the fight against climate change. French artist JR, who recently directed the short film “Ellis,” and Darren Aronofsky (“Black Swan,” “Requiem for a Dream”) have collaborated on an art project called “Standing March,” which was projected on Paris’ Assemblée Nationale last night and will be seen again tonight.

Officials are currently meeting in Paris as part of the COP21 conference, where world leaders hope to reach an agreement that will keep global warming between two degrees Celsius. JR and Aronofsky’s video projection features over 500 participants showing their support for meaningful progress to be made at the conference. Both artists have personally voiced their support for the conference, stressing the importance of climate change to the future of our planet.

The projection will travel throughout Paris from December 1-7, with locations revealed on the artists’ social media accounts.
