Watch: Toni Collette Tries Find the One that Got Away Trailer 'Lucky Them'

Oscar-nominated actress Toni Collette returns to the big screen in director Megan Griffiths‘ (“Eden,” “The Off Hours”) latest feature film “Lucky Them.” Featuring Collette in her first major lead role in quite a few years, the music-centered dramedy will be screening at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival.

“Lucky Them” sees Collette as Ellie Klug, a middle-aged journalist whose last chance at redemption seems to be in her next assignment, which involves locating the long lost rock star legend who broke her heart years ago. Tagging along with her is music-hating filmmaker Charlie, who documents Ellie’s journey of (self-)discovery from beginning to end as the result of her findings may lead to the loss of her job and so much more. The trailer shows Collette lighting up the screen with her comedic flair and melancholy depth, as her search for her almost-mythical ex takes her on a journey she didn’t expect.

“Lucky Them,” which also stars Oliver Platt and Ryan Eggold, will open in select theaters on May 30. Check out the trailer below:
