Watch: James Franco Plays Napoleon Dynamite in ‘Pulp Fiction’ for His New AOL Series

AOL Originals has moved further into the online content arena with a trailer for its new series, “Making a Scene With James Franco.” In the new trailer, Franco plays what amounts to an improv game (oy vey), spinning two gameshow wheels with film titles written on them, selecting two by random chance, and acting out a mash-up.

Things get very James Franco-y as the actor ends up combining “Napoleon Dynamite” and “Pulp Fiction,” and — of course — he portrays both Vincent Vega and Napolean Dynamite in the ensuing skit.

The series will mainly send up iconic films such as these. Others to be parodied in the series range from “The Godfather” to “Titanic.”

The series debuts September 17 and will run for 10 episodes. Here is video of the new trailer:
