If you, like most people, can’t get tickets to “Hamilton” before most of the original founding fathers leave the show, worry not. George Washington himself is taking his talents to PBS for the patriotic concert production “A Capitol Fourth.” Christopher Jackson, who plays the nation’s first president in “Hamilton,” will join an all-star cast of performers for the July 4 show.

Jackson is an Emmy and Grammy winner, as well as a recent 2016 Tony nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. He first joined “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda in “In The Heights,” before working with him again in the historical hip hop hit.
For the PBS special, Jackson joins assorted performers and public figures including Smokey Robinson, Kenny Loggins, General Colin Powell, Gavin Degraw, Sutton Foster and members of Team USA, to name only a few.
“When they asked me to be a part of ‘A Capitol Fourth,’ I didn’t hesitate. What an opportunity! It’s an honor to be among this line up of amazing artists saluting our Armed Forces!” Jackson said in a statement.
