FilmColumbia Festival Announces 2014 Lineup and Exclusive Preview
FilmColumbia, Chatham Film Club’s annual five day festival, has recently announced its 2014 lineup for its upcoming run on October 22-26. In addition, the producers of the festival will be showing a free members-only preview on September 20 at 4:00 PM, which will include exclusive trailers and production highlights.
Executive festival director Peter Biskind and festival director Calliope Nichols have routinely curated films that have continued onto reach critical and commercial success such as “Dallas Buyer’s Club,” “The Armstrong Lie,” “Philomena,” “August: Osage County” and “The Book Thief.”
For the first time, the festival will cross town borders and feature films in two different venues — Nichols said in a release that “This year, Chatham’s Crandell Theatre remains our primary venue, screening the cream of upcoming independent and international films, while the Morris Memorial venue shows an exciting variety of regional films, documentaries and shorts. In Hudson, we’ll screen a unique selection of international, national and local features, shorts and documentaries at Hudson Lodge, convenient to everything at 601 Union Street.”
