‘Through the Wormhole’: Morgan Freeman Uses Science to Hunt for Terrorists

Morgan Freeman is looking for clues in the fight against terrorism – and using his TV show to find them.

The actor’s Science Channel series “Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman” returns next week for its seventh season with more episodes that investigate controversial and burning topics.

The show’s season premiere, which airs Aug. 30 at 10 p.m. ET, asks the question, “What Makes a Terrorist?” In the episode, terrorism is examined through science, including the brain shape of known terrorists. The motivation: Finding new ways to wage the war on terrorism.

Other episodes this season include “Are There More Than Two Sexes?,” “Is Gun Crime a Virus?” and “Is Privacy Dead?” Freeman is back as host.

“This series is ambitious and not afraid to tackle the biggest topics and most provocative, necessary questions that only Morgan and his team can answer,” said Science Channel general manager Marc Etkind.

Freeman and Lori McCreary executive produce the show, which has tackled topics such as aliens, the existence of God, poverty, gun violence, gender identity, free will and eternity.
