Watch: Clive Owen Takes Intensity to a New Level in These Clips From Episode 1 of 'The Knick,' Photos Too

With tons of news and reviews pouring out about Steven Soderbergh‘s Cinemax drama “The Knick,” we have two clips and a couple of photos that give a peak at the show’s first episode.
“The Knick” stars Clive Owen as Dr. John Thackery, an ambitious surgeon who leads the staff at the Knickerbocker Hospital in New York in the early 1900s. These two clips show Owen’s character as a stubborn (and racist) man whose intensity seems to be both his strong and weak point.
“The Knick” will premiere on Cinemax on August 8th.
