Adele's 'Hello' Movie Remix: See Classic Films Like 'Star Wars' Sing The Song Viral Video

It’s difficult to escape the clutches of a bonafide pop song, the kind that envelop the culture and don’t let go until they’re quite finished. Adele‘s 2015 single “Hello” is one of these pop songs, a commercial smash hit that’s still kicking around in the corners of pop culture seven months after its release. “Hello” was Adele’s fourth number-one single, debuting atop the “Billboard” Hot 100, and it also became the first song to sell over a million digital copies in a week. Additionally, the song’s music video was directed by Canadian filmmaker Xavier Dolan and achieved over 27 million views within 24 hours. In other words, it’s primed to be the subject of multiple viral videos, like the one above which features characters from classic films singing the lyrics to the song.

Created by Matthijs Vlot, the film takes scenes featuring characters saying the words from “Hello” and splices them together to fit with the piano ballad. Some of these films include inescapable blockbusters like “Star Wars,” “The Matrix,” and “The Lion King,” but there are other blink-and-you’ll-miss films like the Coen Brothers’ “Fargo,” Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglourious Basterds,” Mike Nichols’ “The Graduate,” Terry Gilliam’s “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,” and Paul Thomas Anderson’s “Boogie Nights.”
