Watch: Joan Rivers Declares ‘There’s No Such Thing as Women’s Comedy’ in ‘Makers’ Trailer

Female comedians are revealing a less amusing side of the business in this trailer for the PBS/AOL series “Makers.” The upcoming installment, covering women in comedy, features the late Joan Rivers as well as other female comedians including Sarah Silverman, Mo’nique, Joy Behar and Kathy Griffin.

“I think there was a time you were only good if the comedy you did could be related to by men,” says Silverman. The profiled women join an impressive list of high-achieving trailblazers, including  Tony Award-winning actresses, journalists, politicians and firefighters, interviewed since 2012 for the storytelling platform. Watch the full episode on September 30 on PBS.
