Kevin Bacon Looks Shake Things Up 'Tremors' TV Reboot

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that a reboot of the 1990 film “Tremors” is in the works for television. While no network is attached as of yet, Blumhouse Productions and Universal Cable Productions will develop the series bringing back executive producer Gale Anne Hurd from the original film. Hurd is currently an executive producer for “The Walking Dead” and spinoff “Fear the Walking Dead.”
Also returning is “The Following” actor Kevin Bacon, reprising his role of Valentine McKee in what has become a cult series about giant subterranean worms that wreak havoc in a small Nevada town.

An attempt at a television series came and went on the Sci-Fi Channel (now SyFy), back in 2003. Although, the initial series has had four direct-to-video sequels (the latest having released earlier this year, “Tremors 5: Bloodlines”) this would mark Bacon’s return since the original movie back in 1990. This news comes months after Kevin Bacon had expressed an interest in returning to the series.
