‘A Little Help With Carol Burnett’ Trailer: The Comedy Legend Learns How to Instagram in New Netflix Series

It's a bit like watching a much cuter version of yourself teaching a much funnier version of your grandparents how to FaceTime.

It’s hard to hate on Netflix when it’s giving us the return of Carol Burnett. Best known for the nearly decade-long “The Carol Burnett Show,” the gold standard in sketch comedy for so many, the comedy icon is returning to TV with her very own Netflix show. Titled “A Little Help With Carol Burnett,” the legend of stage and screen is getting by with a little help from her friends — otherwise known as an eclectic mix of celebrity guests and a gaggle of precocious children.

In a newly released first trailer, Netflix announced that Russell Peters will be joining Burnett as co-host. Employing one of the better examples of the old-person-uses-technology gag, a sassy child named Caleb teaches Burnett how to use Siri and Instagram stories, visibly impressed by her many followers and celebrity friends.

Mixing its own talent with more obvious comedian guest celebrities, Burnett will be joined by the likes of Mark Cuban, Billy Eichner, Taraji P. Henson, DJ Khaled, Lisa Kudrow, Wanda Sykes, and Finn Wolfhard. Taped in front of a live audience, Netflix will release all 12 half-hour episodes of “A Little Help With Carol Burnett” on May 4.
