Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh, James D’Arcy and Harry Styles star in the film, which Nolan wrote on his lonesome — a break from his recent tradition of co-writing projects with his brother Jonathan. “Dunkirk” is due in theaters on July 21, 2017, though it will begin screening in theaters with 70mm capabilities two days earlier.
