Guy Ritchie’s “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword” is gearing up to make a big splash at this year’s Comic-Con. Before it makes its way to the annual convention, Entertainment Weekly has a couple of new images and information on the Warner Bros. film.

In the latest photos, Jude Law is seen as the villain Vortigern, who possesses “a set of deadly magical powers” that he uses to take the throne and murder his brother, Arthur’s father Uther Pendragon (Eric Bana).

Charlie Hunnam stars as a young Arthur, who at the beginning of the film is described as a criminal/anti-hero. He’s a streetwise kid who is unaware of the life he was born for until he grasps hold of the sword Excalibur. In the picture, he’s seen outdoors, dirty, beat up and rugged, with scratches on his face.

“He’s a bit rough around the edges, but he’s basically a survivor,” Hunnam tells EW. “There’s definitely a harder edge than people would imagine.”

“King Arthur: Legend of the Sword” also features Djimon Hounsou, Aidan Gillen and Annabelle Wallis. The film was originally set to be released July 22, 2016, but will now open March 24, 2017. It is rumored that the first teaser of the film will be revealed during Comic-Con this month. Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
