Watch: ‘Happy Valley’ Trailer Exposes the Sandusky Penn State Scandal

It’s more than difficult to discover someone is not who they say they are — it’s another story entirely when a college town’s icon is outed as a decades-long child molester. In “Happy Valley,” Amir Bar-Lev (“The Tilman Story”) explores the deconstruction of Jerry Sandusky, the former Penn State assistant coach, and his friendship with head coach Joe Paterno, who helped cover up Sandusky’s notorious transgressions. 

“Happy Valley” was an official selection at Sundance this year, and the winner of the Best Documentary Feature at the Sarasota Film Festival. Our own Eric Kohn called it “riveting,” and said that it “turns the tables on the national perceptions of the scandal.” Check out the trailer here.
