Watch: Exclusive NSFW Trailer ' Life Dirty Movies' Explains the Money Shot

Over the course of his career, Joe Sarno, sometimes referred to as “The Ingmar Bergman of 42nd Street,” wrote and directed approximately 75 pornographic films. “A Life in Dirty Movies,” which screened at last year’s London Film Festival, follows the 88-year-old Sarno and his wife Peggy as the couple attempts to make one last film together.

As demonstrated in this exclusive NSFW trailer for the film, Sarno and Peggy’s relationship provides “A Life in Dirty Movies” with the professional and personal historical context from which to construct a thoughtful discussion about the evolution of pornography during the 1960s and 1970s. Interview segments with John Waters and various film historians appear to further buttress the film’s argument about Sarno’s lasting impact on depicting sexuality on film.
