Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg‘s new supernatural drama series “Preacher” has been a decade in the making, so the duo have more than a few stories to share about getting their adaptation of the comic book tale off the ground.
In a full director’s commentary for the AMC show, Rogen and Goldberg explain how they finally lucked into making the project, which is based on a ’90s comic they both remember reading and loving when it came out.
“Pretty much a bunch of more talented and successful people had their chances, and slowly but surely, somehow they all failed and it ended up being us,” Goldberg told EW.
“Preacher” stars Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer, a faithless preacher who engages a vampire to help him find God. New episodes resume Sunday, June 5, at 9 p.m. EST.
