Some things are too pure for this world, and it appears that the “Deadpool” animated series created by Donald Glover and his brother Stephen is one of them. First announced with a 10-episode order for the FXX channel last May, the show would have been the “Atlanta” co-creators’ second series together.

“Due to creative differences, FX, Donald Glover, Stephen Glover and Marvel Television have agreed to part ways on Marvel’s ‘Deadpool’ animated series, FX will no longer be involved with the project,” FX said in a statement. “FX and Marvel have an ongoing relationship through our partnership on ‘Legion,’ which will continue.”

Glover will next be seen in “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” whereas Deadpool will return to the screen on May 18 with Ryan Reynolds once again playing the fourth wall–breaking antihero.
