Here’s your daily dose of an indie film, web series, TV pilot, what-have-you in progress — at the end of the week, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

In the meantime: Is this a project you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

THORN

Logline:A desperate survivor struggles to make her way through a forest infested with alien flora, when she encounters a strange young girl…

Elevator Pitch:“THORN” takes place in the future where giant alien objects have come down from space and lodged themselves in the Earth’s crust. The objects have created a global catastrophe by changing the world and making it inhospitable to humans. Alien plants are spreading and choking out native plants, so humans can no longer grow food and people are starving. The movie follows a survivor, a lone woman searching for a rumored place of salvation. But first, she must pass through a forest infested with alien plants and whatever other dangers that might lie in wait.

He manipulates mathematical algorithms, a mysterious digital alchemy, that produce images of exquisite detail and strange beauty.

ARTIST – Markus Lovadina

Based in London, U.K., Markus is currently working as a senior concept artist, as well as a freelance concept artist/illustrator for the games and movie industry.

ARTIST – Joe Golling

Joe Golling is a filmmaker and graphic artist, and an all-around great guy, based in the Bay Area, California.

About the Film:Considering all of the time and money it takes to make a film, I set out to write a story that I truly believed in. THORN has everything I want in a movie: rich characters, suspense, alien plant life, and hulking space ships. It’s a small story in a huge setting, about characters who want things very badly, but just don’t know how to get them. It’s about trust, fear, and how a small decision can change the rest of your life. THORN is the movie I want to see!

Current Status:Currently in post-production
