Watch: Maggie Gyllenhaal Gets a Mysterious Phone Call in an Exclusive Clip from ‘The Honorable Woman’
Episode 1 of SundanceTV’s new miniseries, “The Honorable Woman,” premiered last week to rave reviews, including Indiewire’s Ben Travers calling it “first an engrossing thriller and second a notable feminist genre deconstruction.” Now we have an exclusive look at Episode 2 for you, titled “The Unfaithful Husband.”
The show centers around Gyllenhaal’s protagonist Nessa Stein, a newly appointed member of the House of Lord’s with a dark personal history. Episode 2 shows the search for Atika’s (Lubna Azabal) son, while revealing more of the trauma of Nessa’s past. She also receives a mysterious phone call, shown in this clip, which illustrates just how much drama can be packed into receiving a call at this point in time without even hinting at who could be on the other line.
