ATX Television Festival Unveils Lineup That Includes 'Orphan Black,' 'Review' and 'Revenge'

With quality television on the rise and creating some tough competition for cinema, it comes as no surprise that TV shows are now getting their own festivals. One of the more prominent ones is undoubtedly the ATX Television Festival, which will take place in Austin, TX from June 5-8 to bring together small screen creators and innovators to discuss and celebrate the medium and both its place and development in the industry.

“Each year we strive to surpass
previous year’s expectations in terms of showcasing programming from
fan-favorite and premiere series.  This year we are excited to add new
networks like SundanceTV
and BBC America, as well as continuing our partnership with Netflix, to
appeal to a wide variety of audiences.” said ATX Festival co-founders
Emily Gipson and Caitlin McFarland.

Highlights of the festival this year include the screening of a new episode of BBC America’s “Orphan Black” presented by co-creators Graeme Manson and John Fawcett; Comedy Central’s “Review” with director/writer/producer Jeffrey Blitz and star Andy Daly; and Mike Royce and Ray Romano’s cancelled-too-soon series “Men of a Certain Age.” The festival will also be giving its first ever Achievement in Television Excellence Award to Henry Winkler, who most memorably starred as the iconic teen Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli on “Happy Days.”

Below you can get a full list of the festival’s programming, along with a video depicting some of the great features for which ATX Television Festival has become known:
