We’ve all heard stories of troubled film productions before. Even so, the news this week about the challenges facing Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu’s ambitious period drama “The Revenant” stand out: Bad lighting conditions, arguments on set, naked actors dragged through the mud — everything but the kitchen sink seems to be creating a whole lot of filmmaking headaches. But does that mean the result will reflect the problems? That’s a bit more complicated.
