It looks like fans may not be able to see the Seth Rogen, Bill Hader and Zach Galifianakis-starring space comedy that the trio had in the works at Universal. New reports indicate that the R-rated untitled astronaut film, which was originally scheduled for a May 26, 2017 release, has been removed from the calendar and is currently undated.

Per Deadline, the main reason the studio decided to remove the project was due to scheduling issues. The film was set to be written, directed and produced by Rodney Rothman alongside Rogan’s company Point Grey Pictures and Good Universe. The comedy was centered on a group of male astronauts who are stuck in space for several years before they come upon another ship.

With this new mixup, Memorial Day weekend is shaping up to be a blockbuster fight between Sony’s thriller “Life,” starring Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal, and Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.”

For now, Rogen is savoring “Sausage Party’s” box-office success. It’s looking like the animated comedy will clear $67 million by Sunday at the domestic BO. On Hader’s end, his series “Documentary Now!,” which he co-created and stars in, is nominated for a Primetime Emmy and  Galifianakis can next be seen in the comedy “Masterminds,” out September 30, and “Keeping Up With the Joneses” on Oct. 21.
